There's a seat at our table for you...Gordon Food Service is hiring an Industrial Sales Manager - Imports and Commodities position. This candidate will executes Limson Trading, Import & Commodity sales and marketing plans to Industrial Food Service manufacturers. Provides strategic business development to current Gordon Food Service and new prospect manufacturers accounts by identifying, screening, and qualifying new business opportunities, risks, developing key customer relationships, and initiating account strategies that build loyalty and satisfaction with Industrial food manufacturing customers. Accountable to perform business development activities within the Industrial customer segment, spearheading the development of sales and marketing initiatives to prospective customers. Must achieve sales, margin, RONA, and profitability targets. Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for all new Industrial food service manufacturing business development and onboarding.
  • Creates product, pricing, and service strategies that effectively develop and acquire industrial business customers.
  • Creates accelerated growth that is aligned with the organizational AOP and LRP for the industrial food manufacturers segment.
  • Creates sustainable value propositions for potential customers that align Limson capabilities with the potential customer value drivers.
  • Strategically map potential and current customer base to expand value and relationships in order to create future profitable growth opportunities.
  • Establishes quality standards that must be met through broader team activities and review Key Performance Indicators such as quality measurements, customer profitability, margin management, protocols and policies, and change or enhance as necessary.
  • Facilitates communication, cooperation, and teamwork between the Limson operational departments and management teams, partnering to ensure continuous improvement of the customer experience.
  • Contributes to planning and resource utilization for designated areas of responsibility and assists in the development of operational budgets, goals and targets.
  • Develops a thorough understanding of each customers' demand, item by item.
  • Engages in monthly sales and inventory management meetings and shares customer and market insights with operations.
  • Reviews sales projections with customers and internally to ensure service level goals are met.
  • Utilizes analytics to find opportunities to grow sales.
  • Studies the supply markets and understands the impact of exchange rates, global consumption, availability of resources, and effectively communicates these to customers.
  • Studies customer and consumer trends and identifies industrial manufacturing opportunities.
  • Identify flavors, packaging concepts, and consumer behavior that are trending
  • Attends and participates in industry trade shows as appropriate to the Industrial Food Manufacturing segment.
  • Communicates urgency and customer expectations and prioritizes duties with internal departments.
  • Communicates back to customer time frames, progress and updates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.Ideal candidate will have:
    • Experience with direct industrial food manufacturing customer sales, customer relationship development and customer business management.
    • Must have industry and segment knowledge and be able to analyze and interpret data and aggressively develop new business. Specifically Industrial Food Manufacturing business.
    • Experience with commodity food service products, markets and forecasting models; and ability to translate those to guide Limson Trading and customer decisions is ideal.
    • Must be able to develop, refine, communicate, and implement plans in the Industrial Food Manufacturing business.
    • Must be a strategic thinker in order to build relationships, network, and link resources to plan and execute business practices and achieve business goals.
    • Must be able to develop profitability models and other analytical tools.
    • Must be able to read and interpret complex documents and have very good mathematical aptitude.
    • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
    • Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills as well as problem solving capabilities.
    • Demonstrate the ability to prepare and deliver presentations and speak to customers both internal and external as a department representative.Experience:
      • Bachelor Degree required Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field
      • 10 + years previous experience in successful business development of Industrial Food Manufacturing or Corporate Food Service business. Broad-based customer exposure and direct sales leadership background preferred.

        • Hybrid Schedule 3 days in office 2 days remote
        • Monday to Friday
