Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Temporary Staff Accountant to support our accounting team during a period of increased workload and/or transition. This role will play a key part in day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close support, and financial accuracy. The ideal candidate can ramp up quickly, work independently, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily accounting operations including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Support month-end and year-end close processes Prepare and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities Ensure transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with GAAP Prepare financial schedules and reports as needed Support audits by gathering documentation and responding to information requests Collaborate with internal departments to resolve accounting issues Perform additional accounting or finance tasks as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2 years of staff accountant or general accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar) Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables preferred) High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Availability for the full duration of the temporary assignment Preferred Qualifications Previous temporary or contract accounting experience Experience supporting audits or system conversions Public accounting background Pay Details: $36.00 to $45.00 per hour Search managed by: Amaka Mozie Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
