Senior Marketing Specialist - Marketing * Days - 40hrs/wk
(SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE) Requisition #: req5242 Shift: Days FTE
status: 1 On-call: No Weekends: NoGeneral Summary:Responsible for
the initiatives of the department of marketing, internal
communication and public relations at the direction of senior
leadership in conjunction with established strategic plans. Assists
with the execution of strategic plans to market and support
specific service lines as assigned, including content development
and coordination of the production of marketing materials and
updates to the web site. Special emphasis on coordinating the
production of video projects, photo shoots, television commercials
as needed. Responsible for oversight of ongoing updates to the
intranet, coordination of communication events and plans,
coordination of public relations efforts, and assistance with media
calls as needed. Provides ongoing support and coordinate with
marketing and internal communications teams.Requirements:Bachelor's
degree in marketing, advertising, internet development or related
field.Five (5) or more years of marketing experience required with
health care experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of producing
video communications required.Display understanding of varying
communication needs of diverse audiences and customers related to
education, culture, profession, etc.Must possess excellent strategy
development, project management, writing, communications and
interpersonal skills.Essential Functions and
Responsibilities:Identifies, develops, implements and monitors the
strategic service line marketing plans.Manages and provides
marketing activities for assigned service lines.Oversees the
production of service line marketing materials, including print,
internet, and video.Leads the identification, development and
implementation of market research projects.Leads marketing team
brainstorming for mass marketing campaigns, service line marketing
projects and communication projects as needed.Oversees video and
photography production projects including website videos, service
line promotional videos, and system-wide video production
needs.Maintains an understanding of the organizations market share
and its immediate competitors.Develops, implements and tracks
ongoing marketing performance metrics to ensure organization
success.Understands the varying communication needs of diverse
audiences and customers in order to develop effective education,
culture and professional correspondences.Fosters relationships and
effective communication in support of assigned areas, providing
timely responses within defined timelines.Participates in budget
planning and management process.Maintains strict confidentiality of
UMH-West business plans and sensitive issues.Assures that all
messages developed for assigned service lines are shared on all
other relevant internal and /or external channels of communications
(newsletters, website, M Net, ads, TV screens in physicians'
offices, posters, fliers, etc.).Performs other duties as assigned.
These may include but are not limited to: Maintaining a current
knowledge base of department processes, protocols and procedures,
pursuing self-directed learning and continuing education
opportunities, and participating on committees, task forces, and
work groups as determined by management.
