Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of Med Surg Experience required License: Michigan State License Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Travel Experience highly preferred; Epic Experience preferred Description: The registered nurse will perform direct patient/resident care and delegate tasks to patient care technicians. The nurse will provide care and comfort to patients. Knowledge and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines relating to facility care will be maintained. This position requires basic medical/surgical knowledge to care for general surgical and orthopedic surgical patients. Regularly assesses patients’ needs and provides skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician-authorized plan of care and accepted standards of nursing practice. Provides direct resident care, including medication administration, treatments, and assisting with transfers. Evaluates the effectiveness of the treatment plan and participates in updating and revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members. Processes physician orders and performs physician-ordered care accurately, completely, and in a timely manner. Follows up regarding medication changes and clarifications. Candidates must be ready to work every other weekend.
