Job Description:

The Assistant Service Director is directly accountable for providing support to ensure branch service departments achieve the Company's customer service, safety, image and profitability goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates and/or conducts technical training and business system training to include Technicians, Service Advisors and Service Managers

  • Monitor technician efficiency and proficiency reports and review service policy to ensure departments are working as profitably as possible.

  • Monitor tooling needs to ensure that shops are properly equipped to diagnose and repair equipment.

  • Monitor white pad to ensure the dealerships are organized and communicating to provide a high level of customer service to our customers

  • Assist the Service Managers in resolving customer issues and disputes

  • Monitor the effectiveness of the service marketing plan

  • Coordinate service specials with parts promotions to drive service sales.

  • Assist with the JX Professional Technician Training Program when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School or equivalent required. Associates Degree in Business Administration or technical field preferred.

  • Five years customer service/management experience in the repair and maintenance service of heavy duty trucks.

  • Aptitude for building relationships and training employees.

  • Intermediate computer skills required; proficiency in Karmak desired.

  • Willing to travel up to 50% of time
