There's a seat at our table for you...Are you interested in working on a team of experienced Unix administrators to learn the ins and outs of supporting an Enterprise server fleet? The Gordon Food Service server team is looking for an Associate Linux Server Administrator to train on managing and supporting the RedHat Linux environment that GFS uses in the U.S. and Canada to run our food distribution systems.As the Linux Systems Administrator, you will work alongside other admins to support, administer, maintain, and sustain Linux server platforms hosted in enterprise data centers in the U.S. and Canada. In this role, you will support the patching, compiling, securing, and troubleshooting Linux servers in a heterogeneous environment. You will perform system updates and server configurations as well as deploy changes from development to production. You will also provide technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions.Leading candidates will have:Knowledge of or Ability to learn the following:

• Scripting languages, such as: Perl, Bash, Python, YAML
• RedHat Linux 7 & 8
• Infrastructure as Code using Puppet and Ansible
• CI/CD tooling, such as: BitBucket
• VMware basics
• Demonstrated interest in how and why things work the way they do
• Troubleshooting system, logs, memory and code errors
