Job Description:
Overview
Performs a wide variety of maintenance and repair to production and
plant equipment, the building and related facility systems from the
direction of the department Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting tasks on
electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, process water,
water treatment systems, pneumatic and other systems as
scheduled.
- Repair and troubleshoot manufacturing and packaging equipment
to include Blow molders, Net Weight Fillers, Case Packers, bottle
sorters and all support equipment.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance on Production and Utilities
equipment.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized
technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and
repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment
manual as needed.
- Install wiring systems including running conduit and
wireways.
- Repair/install plumbing piping and fixtures (sinks, ice
machines toilets, urinals, etc.)
- May transport equipment, furniture, supplies, etc
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with
procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Order supplies and materials needed for repairs and
maintenance.
- Must be available during off hours for emergencies.
- Maintain routine and seasonal preventive maintenance programs
to mechanical systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Equipment Used:
Multi-meters, hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment,
compressors, boilers, snow thrower, shovels, pickup truck,
chillers, towers, lift truck, baler, compactor, etc.
Unusual Conditions:
Frequent dirty work, outside elements (cold & heat)
Requirements:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior
maintenance workers.
- Knowledge of general maintenance functions such as HVAC,
Electrical, Plumbing, and carpentry maintenance level tasks.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, various types
of meters, etc.
- Proficient written and verbal skill to include reading
blueprints, schematic, diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's
instructions, engineering specifications, etc.
- Ability to navigate and use maintenance software.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Follow all security protocols by complying with all procedures,
rules, and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Licensed Certification in HVAC, Boiler, or other technical
discipline.
