table for you...Gordon Food Service is hiring an Senior Vendor
Receivable Analyst. This candidate will assist Vendor Receivables
Leadership, Merchandising and Marketing Service Center, and other
Vendor Owners with analytical data as needed, including but not
limited to the Vendor Income reconciliation & analysis, preparation
of various monthly reports, and provides support for day to day
activity. May also include GL account reconciliations and variance
analysis. Also, collaborates on strategic projects as
necessary.Responsibilities:
- Acts as a Vendor Income subject matter expert during vendor
negotiations, contract amendments and vendor disputes in an effort
to leverage vendor income, vendor activity and accounting
knowledge.
- Develops and maintains tracking for non transactional based
vendor income (TLG). Follows up with vendor owners and vendors as
needed for timely collection of income.
- Develops and maintains tracking for non system based vendor
income billings and repayments.
- Develops and maintains variance analysis and metrics reporting
to better understand vendor income performance
- Performs reviews of accruals and accrual adjustments. Follows
up with appropriate individuals for explanations or
corrections.
- Develops and maintains savings initiative reporting either
within BI tools or in Excel. Explains variances as needed.
- Assists with the closing process, including but not limited to
preparing and analyzing information or reports to substantiate
account reconciliations and balances.
- Supports General Accounting and Inventory Accounting teams with
variance analysis explanations for vendor income accounts.
- Prepares and organizes data for internal and external audit
requirements.
- Participates or leads business process improvement and related
projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Ideal candidate will have:
- Must have knowledge of general ledger accounting, cost
accounting and analysis, accounting principles, and internal
controls. Must know principles of analysis, reporting, and
information valuation, must understand process improvement
methodology, and be technologically adaptable.
- Must have some knowledge of margin modeling and product
costing.
- Ability to communicate cross functionally, as well as all
levels, and explain moderate to complex financial
transactions.
- Mathematical - Moderate to math skills for use in Excel and
analytics.
- Human Relations - Customer service and relationship
building.
- Self Management - Must be open minded, have integrity,
initiative, value consciousness, deadline focused and strong
motivation toward company, team and individual results.
- Technology - advanced Excel knowledge (writing macros,
vlookups, indexing, pivot tables)
- Must be detail oriented with a commitment to a high level of
accuracy.Experience:
- Bachelor degree preferred Accounting/Finance or related
- 5 years experience in accounting, finance, or equivalent
combination of education, training, and experience.Location:
- 1300 Gezon Pkwy, Wyoming MI 49509
- Hybrid Schedule 3 days in office 2 days remote
- Monday to Friday
